The Jam are gone and in it’s place rise the newest D-League team, the Northern Arizona Suns of Prescott, AZ.
“We’re strong ambassadors of the Phoenix community, and not just the Phoenix community, but the entire state,” said Suns President Jason Rowley. “When we’re able to lend the strength of our brand to the community and be additive to it, I think we have an obligation to do it.”
Before the announcement, the Suns and the Jam had a unique relationship. The Suns were in charge of the basketball operations for the D-League team, and the Jam’s ownership ran the business aspects of the franchise.
