Phoenix Suns: Aron Baynes effective offensive game evolving

Aron Baynes relocated his 3-ball shooting touch at the end of last month

After having a rough stretch of hitting just 4-of-18 from 3 in December, Baynes knocked down 2-of-4 in Phoenix’s comeback road win at Portland to ensure a split of a four-game road trip.

“It’s always good to see them go down instead of come off the back of the rim,” he said.

Teams started taking Baynes’ 3-point seriously to the point they’re contesting that shot, as he was nailing a career-best 43.4% from 3 in his first 13 games this season.

To counter, the 6-10, 260-pound big man has been using an up-fake to go around the defender off the bounce and shoot a running floater in the lane.
