With sports seasons getting suspended or cancelled due to the novel coronavirus, countless team, stadium and arena employees have had to face sudden uncertainty. On Friday, the Suns took the first step of any Arizona-based franchise to provide financial compensation for part-time and hourly employees.
In a statement, the Suns announced that with Talking Stick Resort Arena, they "will ensure that all part-time staff and hourly workers, including employees that work in guest service relations, concessions, ticketing, security, parking and events services will receive financial compensation for the six remaining scheduled Suns home games and concerts and shows that have been cancelled in March.
