For NBA fans, Media Day represents that wonderful time of year when a new season is just on the horizon. They get to check back in their their favorite players, learn about what new skill they’ve worked on over the summer that’s bound to be exaggerated and enjoy the unofficial tipoff of a new NBA calendar.
But the most awkward Media Day this year is bound to be in the Valley, when the interviews are officially underway for the Phoenix Suns. After bringing in Tyson Chandler, watching Eric Bledsoe take the next step toward becoming a leader and rounding out the roster to address the team’s biggest weaknesses, this year’s Media Day would normally be a positive event.
