Just before the deadline, the Detroit Pistons agreed to a contract buyout with guard Shake Milton, introducing a new name to watch for the Suns’ final roster spot.

While Phoenix could consider Saben Lee to fulfill their backup point guard needs, Milton offers additional height and a more consistent shooting performance.

This season, spanning his time with the Timberwolves and Pistons, Milton has maintained an average of 4.9 points per game with a shooting percentage of .403.

However, in the previous year with the 76ers, he averaged 20 minutes and 8.4 points on .479 shooting. Milton even garnered some 6th Man of the Year votes in 2021, having averaged 13 points per game that season.
