The Phoenix Suns have indeed come a long way in just two seasons. They were an abysmal 19-63 overall in the 2018-2019 season under Igor Kokoskov, marking the worst mark in franchise history since a 16-66 record in the inaugural 1968-69 season.
Kokoskov was the Suns fourth coach in as many years. Monty Williams took over in 2019-20 and started the team's resurgence with Phoenix improving in the win column by 15 games.
Now they're prepping for their first appearance in the NBA Finals for the first time in 28 years.
Only three of the current Suns players were here when the franchise was at rock bottom.
