The Oklahoma City Thunder have been looking to add a veteran point guard and, according to Eric Pincus of Basketball Insiders, they have agreed to terms with Ronnie Price.
Price, an 11-year NBA veteran, spent last season with the Phoenix Suns and averaged 5.3 points, 2.4 assists and 1.6 rebounds in 62 appearances. Price will compete with Cameron Payne during the preseason for the main backup position behind starter Russell Westbrook.
Whenever Price and 2016 first-round pick Domantas Sabonis sign their deals, the Thunder will have 15 players under contract with fully guaranteed salaries for 2016-17 and that will probably be the roster that starts the regular season in late October.
