Before becoming NBA lottery draft prospects, Tre Jones and Tyrell Terry grew up in Minnesota when a younger, flashier Rubio was creating, dishing and playmaking for the Timberwolves.
“I’ve been watching him since he was with the Timberwolves since I was younger,” said Terry, who is from Minneapolis.
Now one of them may wind in Phoenix learning from the veteran point guard.
"He’s a really good point guard in this league and I think my brother learned a lot from him,” said Jones, whose older brother, Tyus, was teammates with Rubio in Minnesota for two seasons (2015-17).
