PRESCOTT VALLEY – Making a round trip from Phoenix to Prescott Valley for the Northern Arizona Suns’ morning shootaround and night game Wednesday made for a long day for Suns player Tyler Ulis and Alan Williams.
It was a longer night for the Northern Arizona Suns once they swallowed the D-League affiliate franchise’s first loss in nine games at the Prescott Valley Event Center.
Despite the presence of three Phoenix Suns roster players with long-term assignee Derrick Jones Jr., the league-topping NAZ Suns lost 107-93 to the Santa Cruz Warriors (5-7) on Wednesday night.
Santa Cruz surprised NAZ (10-2) with 20 points from former Northern Arizona Lumberjacks star Cameron Jones.
