The Phoenix Suns players facing felony assault allegations for their roles in a January brawl at a Phoenix recreation center appeared in court Tuesday for a brief, routine hearing that ended with a new court date set for next month.
Marcus and Markieff Morris, both dressed in black suits and quiet throughout the proceeding, joined their attorneys before Maricopa County Superior Court Commissioner Jeffrey Rueter for the brief appearance Tuesday morning in a downtown Phoenix courtroom.
Their next court appearance will be on Aug. 3 at 8:30 a.m. with Superior Court Judge Joan Sinclair.
Rueter also granted a request for the Phoenix Suns forwards to travel out of state under the condition they will return for their August appearance.
