Suns general manager Ryan McDonough said Wednesday that the Eric Bledsoe trade has left the team poised to "put together a compelling offer for a superstar" player and that the move has “sped up our timeline a little bit.”
By trading Bledsoe for power forward Greg Monroe and a pair of draft picks, McDonough has closed the door on a messy start to a season that included firing coach Earl Watson and kicking Bledsoe off the team on the same day.
The trade has been blasted by fans and national writers around the NBA, but I’m not sure what else they would have had the Suns do.
