They’re two of the NBA’s better point guards, one established, the other rising, but neither were selected to participate in next month’s All-Star game.
In Eric Bledsoe’s case, the reason is simple. The Suns are at the bottom of the Western Conference. In Mike Conley’s, it’s a bit more complicated. The Memphis point guard has not made an All-Star game once during his 10-year career, which many find baffling.
On Monday night, the two squared off at Talking Stick Resort Arena. Conley was terrific, scoring a career-high 38 points and dishing nine assists to lead Memphis to a 115-96 win over the Suns.
