McRae's Record-Setting Night Propels Him to Suns

Jordan McRae's name is all over the University of Tennessee record books. Seventh in three-pointers made. Thirteenth in blocks. Sixteenth in total points.

The 6-5 guard has fought to keep his name relevant in basketball circles since leaving the Vols in 2014. It appeared briefly in that summer's NBA Draft, where he was drafted 58th overall by the Spurs. After San Antonio declined to keep him on the roster, "McRae" could be seen on the backs of jerseys in Australia, the NBA Summer League and the NBA Develpoment League.

It was in the latter uniform that he made waves that reminded the NBA -- and, specifically, the Suns -- of his talent.
