Tyler Ulis made it difficult not to appreciate his play during the NBA Summer League.
As an all-NBA Summer League honoree, the Suns’ second-round pick was considered the 24-team league’s second-best point guard to Minnesota second-year player Tyus Jones. Ulis played all six Suns games, averaged 32.2 minutes, had the league's second-most assists, made 14 steals in his first 10 quarters and hit a game-winning, 35-foot buzzer shot.
But even though neither Suns first-round pick finished the league’s tourney for health reasons, Suns general manager Ryan McDonough still came away from Las Vegas impressed with teenagers Dragan Bender and Marquese Chriss.
