Phoenix Suns General Manager Ryan McDonough said on several occasions since the end of the season that he was looking to revamp the roster. Not only was he going to use the draft as a method, but also through trade and free agency. While he has only signed one player in free agency thus far, Trevor Ariza, he has now made three trades, albeit small ones, and guaranteed the contract of Davon Reed who following last season had seemed like he would not be returning.
With still more trades to potentially come, the roster has already gone through a dramatic turnover and a franchise that tanked for 21 wins last season might finally have a roster that should have reliable depth and competitiveness at every position.
