SAN FRANCISCO – The Suns have five games left in the season and the only suspense is whether they’ll win one of those five or end the season on a 19-game losing streak.
Even the race to get the most ping pong balls in the May 15 draft lottery is devoid of drama. Heading into Sunday’s games, Phoenix was 2½ games ahead of its closest “pursuer.” Given the fact the Suns still play Golden State twice and New Orleans once in the last five games, it’s almost unfathomable that Phoenix won’t wind up with the worst record in the NBA.
