Kevin Garnett took it back to the summer of 2007 when he was looking to leave Minnesota in hopes to joining a team with championship aspirations.
"I was like I got one chance at this," Garnett said on Showtimes's "All That Smoke" Feb. 19 episode hosted by Stephen Jackson and Matt Barnes. "I had Oakland (Golden State), I had Phoenix, I had the (Los Angeles) Lakers and I had the (Boston Celtics).
Garnett said he called two-time NBA MVP Steve Nash as "a courtesy," but according to him, Nash said he'd have to take a "major pay cut" with the Suns – and that wasn't all.
