Phoenix Suns superstar Kevin Durant surpassed Carmelo Anthony for the ninth most points in NBA history tonight against the Houston Rockets.
Durant entered tonight’s game needing 22 points to pass Melo and did so in the fourth quarter on a free throw with 10:47 remaining.

Shaquille O’Neal is next on the list for Durant to pass, and he only needs 307 points to do so. Durant, now 35 years old, reached the feat in 224 less games than Anthony.
