Phoenix Suns’ big man Jusuf Nurkiu0107 was a little bit excited after his team snapped a five-game losing streak to the Los Angeles Lakers with a much-needed 127-109 victory.
Nurkiu0107, who was benched in the second half during the Suns’ blowout loss to the Los Angeles Clippers Monday, came out much better defensively against the Lakers. Anthony Davis, his primary matchup, only had 13 points and five rebounds. Davis was coming off a 41-point, 11-rebound performance Tuesday. Before the loss, he was averaging 25 points and 12.7 rebounds against Phoenix this season.
“For the most part Nurk matched AD’s minutes and battled him the best he could one-on-one,” coach Frank Vogel said postgame.
