PRESCOTT – The Suns ended training camp Friday with a 32-minute scrimmage at the Prescott Valley Event Center. Only one person was angry that camp was over.
“Devin Booker is (ticked off),” coach Earl Watson said.
That’s because Booker’s white team lost to the Suns’ black team 52-51. Booker, who hates to lose at anything, didn’t even get the final shot off for the white team. That went to T.J. Warren, who missed a deep 3-pointer at the buzzer.
Watson proclaimed training camp a success, even though he thought the scrimmage was a bit sloppy. There was good reason for that.
