Torrey Craig was on Phoenix's wish list before the Suns eventually acquired him a week before the March 25 trade deadline.
"We tried to get him in the offseason," Suns coach Monty Williams said before Sunday's overtime win at Charlotte.
The Suns were on Craig's wish list, too.
"I actually wanted to come here," Craig said before Tuesday's game against Atlanta. "But some things happened, pretty crazy and pretty wild and unpredictable. Some things kind of fell through and I ended up going to Milwaukee."
Months later, Craig finally ended up in Phoenix.
"When I found out I got traded before a (March 17) game in Philadelphia, they told me I was in a deal, but they didn't tell me what team I was going to.
