How one Phoenix Suns wing can be the next Sixth Man of the Year winner

The Phoenix Suns have a history of Sixth Man of the Year award winners, dating back to the 1988-89 season when Eddie Johnson took home the franchise’s first of (so far) four Sixth Man awards in the last 30 years.

Winners tend to be veterans with many years of NBA experience (Leandro Barbosa – who won it in 2006-07 – is easily the youngest winner in franchise history at only four-year’s service and 24-years-old), although it would not be unprecedented for a young player to take the award home as Ben Gordon won it in 2004-05, in his rookie season.
