Dear Suns:
Happy Anniversary!
We hope this finds you well, although given your recent front-office moves, we suspect you’ve had better days. So have we (not to mention Ryan McDonough), but we digress.
Yes, we realize you did the whole 50th season celebration thing last year. But to us, longtime fans of yours, this is the 50th anniversary of our relationship with you. After all, you played your first game on Oct. 18, 1968, and 7,112 of us showed up to watch you beat the SuperSonics, 116-107. Gail Goodrich had 27 and Dick Van Arsdale, our first player, scored 21.
