Great expectations: No. 1 overall pick Deandre Ayton feeling pressure in rookie season with Suns

Phoenix Suns' 7-footer Deandre Ayton, the top pick in the 2018 NBA Draft, and Igor Kokoskov talk about the rookie playing with high expectations. Duane Rankin, Arizona Republic

“I’ve always said, how he’s built as a human being, he’s just a hard person to stop, stay in front of. Just strong, 7-1, and can move. He has all the tools.” – Devin Booker.

Deandre Ayton’s size, length and athleticism are immediately noticeable, but he’s only 20 years old, still plays video games and doesn’t always appear to be focused.

So while a four-point game in which he took three shots seems inconceivable, Ayton is proof more goes into playing in the NBA than being talented.
