Dragan Bender will start at power forward for the Suns on Tuesday against Los Angeles, interim coach Jay Triano said.
Triano said his decision to start Bender has nothing to do with the rules violation that kept Marquese Chriss out of Sunday’s game against Charlotte. Instead, Triano said he needs more shooters on the court with Devin Booker (hip pointer) out, and he hopes Bender can draw either Julius Randle or Brook Lopez away from the Lakers’ basket.
