The Valley Suns led the Santa Cruz Warriors late after trailing by as much as nine in the fourth quarter but couldn’t make the final winning plays in a 115-113 loss at Mullett Arena on Monday.
The Suns had beaten the Warriors 130-113 on Sunday and are now 4-4 in the regular season following a 10-6 Tip-Off Tournament performance.
TyTy Washington Jr., one of Phoenix’s three two-way players in action, put on an absolute show, scoring 14 of his 30 points in the fourth quarter.

The and-one part of Washington’s finish through contact with 1:05 left gave the Suns a one-point lead.
