LAS VEGAS -- Barring a last-minute snag in negotiations the Suns will soon sign guard Devin Booker to a five-year, $158 million contract.
Former Suns’ interim coach Jay Triano has no doubt Booker will embrace the responsibility that comes with the money and being the face of the franchise.
“I don’t think there’s anything he can’t handle,” said Triano, now an assistant with the Charlotte Hornets. “He has such a good head on his shoulders and is so well-rounded. He’s a fantastic kid.”
It’s been a busy summer for Triano, who is trying to get acclimated in Charlotte while also coaching the Canadian National Team.
