Tyler Johnson is getting another opportunity to continue his NBA career – and extend it beyond this season.
The Brooklyn Nets have agreed to a deal with the former Phoenix Suns combo guard, ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski tweeted Tuesday as they waived Theo Pinson.
Players had until Wednesday to decide to opt out playing in the 2019-20 NBA season resumption scheduled to begin next month in Orlando. Teams have until July 1 to submit their travel party that includes the players on the roster.
With Kyrie Irving still out after having shoulder surgery in March, Johnson should see action with his grit mentality that should mesh well with the Nets.
