The Phoenix Suns will be without Eric Bledsoe for the remainder of the season after the point guard underwent surgery Tuesday to repair a torn meniscus in his left knee.
Suns coach Jeff Hornacek had said Bledsoe was expected to miss about six weeks, but the team lengthened the timetable after Tuesday's procedure was completed.
In a statement, the Suns said Bledsoe is expected to be ready for training camp in the fall.
The 26-year-old had been one of the few bright spots for the Suns, averaging 20.
