Draft's Deep Forward Pool Could Fill Suns' Biggest Need

Immediately after the NBA Draft Lottery on May 17, Suns General Manager Ryan McDonough confirmed two things:

  1. The Suns would draft the best player available, regardless of position, with each of their picks
  2. Phoenix's biggest position of need is power forward

The latter fact is due to the unrestricted free agency of Mirza Teletovic and Jon Leuer, though either could re-sign with the team later this summer. The draft, however, offers multiple chances to further address the hole at the "four" position.

Luckily for the Suns, this year's crop of rookies is particularly deep at that spot.
