Reportedly, they’re willing to trade the pick for cap relief – either Spencer Hawes or Jeremy Lamb.
Cap relief is understandable – except that the cap is likely going up $24 million.
The Suns can only get into this trade conversation with the understanding that they will then flip some of their other picks. If they acquired #22, they would be in a great position to consolidate #22, #28, and #34 if there is a player they feel they need to grab.
