Devin Booker sets NBA 3-point contest record with 28 points in win

When Devin Booker gets hot, look out.

Booker flashed his streaking scoring ability en route to a record 28 points in the JBL Three-Point Contest at the NBA's All-Star Weekend on Saturday in Los Angeles.

He hit 20 of his 30 shot attempts, including four of five shots on his money-ball rack at the end.

Booker beat Warriors guard Klay Thompson, who finished with 25 points, and Clippers forward Tobias Harris in the final round after advancing with 19 points in the first round.

He finished third in the competition as a rookie.

Booker's scoring ability is one thing, but the help he got training for the event from Suns interim head coach Jay Triano last month probably had more to do with the win.
