For a player selected 13th in the draft last season, finishing ahead of a player like Jahlil Okafor (3rd overall selection), shows that Devin Booker significantly exceeded expectations.
All this from a young gun that struggled to get minutes early in the season. Once Booker broke into the rotation though, he received heavy minutes – and a heavy offensive burden. Of the top five rookies in Rookie of the Year voting, only Karl-Anthony Towns played more minutes than Devin Booker.
