The Lakers had an 82 percent chance of making the playoffs on Christmas Day after their win against the Warriors. Those chances are slowly diminishing with yet another loss, this time against the worst team in the league, the Phoenix Suns. They were coming off a home loss to the Milwaukee Bucks so really needed this one for a momentum swing.
Phoenix came out following its game plan of transition defense and it worked. They held the Lakers to just 49 percent shooting from the field and made things difficult for them in the paint so they had to settle for three-point shots going 8-25 from that range.
