Former NBA All-Star Cliff Robinson has died, according to a tweet from the University of Connecticut men's basketball program.
"The UConn Basketball family mourns the loss of a legendary player and person, Clifford Robinson. Our thoughts and prayers are with Cliff’s family at this difficult time," the school said in a tweet. "Rest In Peace, Cliff."
Robinson, 53, won the NBA's Sixth Man of the Year Award in 1993.
He was an NBA All-Star in the 1993-94 season.
He spent 19 seasons in the NBA, the first eight with the Portland Trail Blazers.
Robinson also played for the Phoenix Suns, Detroit Pistons and New Jersey Nets during his career.
