The Suns have found a way to play for a championship sooner than later.
The Suns reached Monday night’s title game of the 24-team NBA Summer League tournament by riding first-round draft pick Devin Booker’s 31-point performance for a 93-87 victory Sunday against New Orleans at Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas.
The Suns (5-1) will face San Antonio (5-1) at 6 p.m. Monday on NBA TV for the championship, which will be Phoenix’s second title game appearance in three years.
Booker had a modest 2-for-8 shooting first half before a 22-point second half gave him 31 points, matching this summer league’s scoring high with teammate T.
