The rise in Devin Booker's role and production has not gone unnoticed by the league, which named him a candidate and runner-up for the Western Conference Player of the Week honors on Monday.
Golden State's Stephen Curry won the award, with Booker joining San Antonio's LaMarcus Aldridge and Denver's Emmanuel Mudiay as runners-up.
In three games last week, Booker averaged 28.7 points, 5.7 assists and 2.0 rebounds per game while shooting 46.5 percent from the field. Those numbers included two of his three highest-scoring performances of the season, as well as a new career mark in assists.
