The greatest sports teams live forever. They are constellations that burn for eternity. Their players are made men in the cities they represent.
The 1985 Bears still rule Chicago. Members of the Big Red Machine are still rock stars in Cincinnati. And while the 1992-93 Suns never won a championship, they remain the most impactful team the Valley has ever witnessed.
Some of these local icons – most notably, Charles Barkley, Dan Majerle and Kevin Johnson – will be at Talking Stick Resort Arena on Friday to celebrate the decade when the Suns played for and owned the state of Arizona.
