The Suns need good luck and better players. But first, they need to do something radical. They need to get uncomfortable.
They need to hire a big-name basketball coach.
Maybe that guy is Jay Wright, head coach at Villanova and newly-crowned NCAA champion. He is rumored to be on the Suns’ wish list, and a family friend of the McDonough crew. He would also be an ideal solution in Phoenix: great guy, great teacher, excellent with young players, and knows how to win with a surplus of guards.
But in this case, it’s not the name that matters.
