The NBA draft was full of talent, intrigue and two men who had seen the future.
One of them was LaVar Ball, who claimed that God and Zeus told him that his son would end up with the Lakers. The other was General Manager Ryan McDonough, who was the only person in Phoenix unfazed on that awful night in May, when the Suns were the biggest losers of the NBA draft lottery.
McDonough insisted the Suns would get a great player. And that’s just what happened.
Entering their 50th season as an NBA franchise, it’s safe to say that Planet Orange has never seen a player like former Kansas star Josh Jackson.
