The deal that's in its finalizing stage means Phoenix now has an unequivocal leader at the one who can run a team and play alongside All-Star Devin Booker, but parting ways with another veteran point guard it signed to a three-year, $51-million deal last summer, an electrifying talent who was hugely popular in Phoenix and two rookie guards along with a future first-round pick.
