Alec Peters, Phoenix Suns go out with a bang in win over Dallas

DALLAS – At media day nearly seven months ago, Earl Watson said the upcoming Phoenix Suns season would be about “structure.”

So much for that concept.

The curtain fell Tuesday on arguably the most tumultuous season in the 50-year history of the franchise when the Suns beat the Dallas Mavericks, 124-97, at American Airlines Center.

To put the unlikeliest of bows on the year, forward Alec Peters set a Suns season high with eight 3-pointers, broke the all-time franchise rookie record for 3s in a game and scored 36 points. His previous career high: eight points.
