Alan Williams’ NBA existence is not guaranteed until September but he can feel much better about his future with the Suns.
Williams, the Phoenix native who spent the final five weeks of last season with the Suns, appears to be part of the Suns' plans for 2016-17 after being selected to the all-NBA Summer League first team and having the Suns general manager say he has "a very good chance" of securing a roster spot. Williams’ $874,636 contract salary for next season becomes guaranteed if he remains on the Suns roster by Sept. 1.
“Chances are, he’ll have a spot,” Suns GM Ryan McDonough said.
