“We’ve just got to take the cool shoes off and just play barefoot one time and just run.” – Deandre Ayton, Nov. 10, Smoothie King Center, New Orleans.
The Phoenix Suns weren’t cool Wednesday night against San Antonio.
Far from it.
They started fast, fought off a strong San Antonio comeback attempt and ran over and past the Spurs, 116-96, at Talking Stick Resort Arena in avenging 30-point loss on Halloween.
“That’s what I’m talking about not having the cool shoes because we were up by 20,” Ayton proudly said after the game.
