The Phoenix Suns have no interest in facilitating a sign-and-trade of star guard Eric Bledsoe to the Minnesota Timberwolves, per league sources cited by Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports.
According to Wojnarowski, "the Suns would want an All-Star – or potential All-Star – in return for Bledsoe and had only considered Kevin Love in a possible sign-and-trade scenario with the Timberwolves, league sources told Yahoo Sports. Minnesota eventually traded Love to the Cleveland Cavaliers."
The Timberwolves have shown the willingness to offer Bledsoe a four-year, $63 million contract as part of a sign-and-trade. However, as revealed by sources close to Yahoo! Sports, Minnesota would want to dump undesirable contracts on Phoenix as part of the deal.
Minnesota is currently $6 million over the salary cap and have just minimum contract and a $1.5 million trade exception to work with in 2014-15.
On the Phoenix side of things, the Suns are willing to led Bledsoe play under a $3.7 qualifying offer before letting him hit the free market in July 2015. However, Bledsoe has not agreed to anything of that nature as of yet.
