The Phoenix Suns will keep center Earl Barron for the remainder of the 2014-15 season after the end of two 10-day contracts with the team.
Barron, 33, inked his first 10-day contract with the team back on February 21st and then a second back on March 3rd.
He only saw limited action in those 20 days, appearing in just eight games for the Suns and averaging 1.1 points and 0.8 rebounds in 5.7 minutes per contest.
Prior to his time in Phoenix, the 7-foot center averaged a double-double (20.3 points and 10.9 rebounds per game) for the Bakersfield Jam on the NBA Development League. His presence gives Phoenix size off the bench for when they want to exploit mismatches or if any injury occurs down the stretch.
