ASU's Jahii Carson's draft "dream come true" headlines today's Suns news update

The Suns news cycle is in complete draft mode right now, with next month's 2014 NBA Draft the big focus for the team as it tries to build off of the success of the 2013-14 NBA season.

One of the players that the team is looking at for a potential first-round pick is Arizona State's Jahii Carson. Per Jeffery Saunders of FanSided, the five-foot-ten Phoenix native worked out for the Suns along with five other players (Taylor Braun, Tim Frazier, Josh Huestis, Patric Young, and Cory Jefferson) on Wednesday.

Of course, the former Arizona State Sundevil stole the show.

“Its crazy being a hometown kid in Phoenix, going to Mesa and staying home for college and being here,” Carson stated. “It’s a triple threat and not every kid can do that. I just thank God for the opportunity.”

Carson also made it clear that it would be a "dream come true" to play for his hometown team - a dream which could very well become reality if he slides down to the team at twenty-seven.

Carson is projected by most draft analysts to fall somewhere in the 25-to-40 range next month.
