Arizona Coyotes offseason evaluations: Phil Kessel was a big move, but was it big enough?

Arizona Coyotes General Manager John Chayka isn't a big believer in free agency, but his team still made one of the largest splashes through the first week of the 2019 offseason.

In late June, the Coyotes acquired Phil Kessel from the Pittsburgh Penguins. As part of the package, they dealt Alex Galchenyuk and prospect Pierre-Olivier Joseph while receiving a fourth-round 2021 pick and a defensive prospect from the Penguins.

In the two weeks since the Kessel trade, analysts have had time to evaluate what this off-season will mean for the Coyotes. In addition to Kessel, the Coyotes have added center Carl Soderberg and made a few other depth signings.
