Arizona Coyotes agree to contract extension with goalie Antti Raanta

The Arizona Coyotes have agreed to terms on a contract extension with goaltender Antti Raanta, a source confirmed to The Republic on Friday.

The deal is for three years with an annual average value of $4.25 million, per the source. The full value is estimated at 12.75 million.

The team has not confirmed the extension.

Raanta has a .930 save percentage and a 2.24 goals against average in 46 games with the Coyotes this season.

Those numbers rank second and third, respectively, among goalies with a minimum of 40 games played.

On two separate occasions this season, Raanta was named as one of the NHL's three stars of the week.
