The player to be named later in the deal that allowed the Union to pick Josh Yaro was named.
The Philadelphia Union have sent Zach Pfeffer and general allocation money to the Colorado Rapids to complete the deal that sent Colorado's first pick (second overall) in the 2016 MLS SuperDraft to the Union. With that pick, the Union selected defender Josh Yaro, who many people had going first overall.
Pfeffer was the Union's first signing via the Homegrown Player mechanism, signing at just 15 years of age in 2010. He went on loan to 1899 Hoffenheim in the German Bundesliga, however he only made a few appearances with their U19 team.
